I assembled a team to take the best of what we had learned from building a strong startup community in Chattanooga, and combined it with the best of the high growth startup methodologies that have changed the way the world views business. By packaging up these proven tools in a simple and intuitive way, CO.STARTERS makes the best resources and processes out there accessible to grassroots local leaders, equipping them to support a diverse group of starters in communities everywhere. We're taking the best of the high growth startup world, stripping out the MBA-speak, and giving it to small business. The big vision? We're providing a platform for communities to build the strongest support network for local small businesses to thrive, and to connect these innovative community leaders in a way that gives them access to the best people, practices, and processes that exist, improving their personal lives, providing an outlet for local starters to share their passions, making their communities thrive.As of November 2023, CO.STARTERS has been acquired by FINSYNC. I am continuing on in a strategic advisory role, and look forward to seeing the impact of CO.STARTERS increase through the FINSYNC network.

Worked with the Kauffman Foundation staff to organize and develop the ESHIP initiative, including the Ecosystem Building Playbook, the ESHIP Goals, and the ESHIP Summit and project series. Also brought together national resource providers laying the groundwork for the Ecosystem Building Leadership Network (EBLN)

Worked to convene a community of support for Chattanooga's starters. My role has varied as a Connector, Community Builder, Program & Systems Creator, and other general startuppery.

Luthier and repair technician.After training with Ivan Schmukler, Luthier for Martin Guitars, in the summer of 2005, I started a guitar repair and restoration business. Since then I have continued to develop my skills in this area and have been able to provide excellent repair work to many musicians.

Home remodeling and repair of all kinds, specializing in restoration work on pre-1930 houses. Jobs have included detail work, structural repair, floor replacement, pulley weight window restorations, roofing, cabinets, bathrooms, kitchens, drywall, painting, electrical, etc.

Economy FellowStarted and developed several initiatives to build the economy of Chattanooga, with a focus on startup companies-Managed the administration of the SpringBoard business planning program.-Rewrote and redesigned the SpringBoard curriculum-Cofounded the launch of The Company Lab, a community building resource focused on providing support, mentorship, and capital to high growth business startups.
