About Konstantin Zakharov

Software development has been my passion since I was 14 year old. My father got me a PC when I was 13, along with a copy of Might and Magic VIII. Soon after I enjoyed the miracles of early 3D gaming, I became interested in the inner workings of such a curious illusion. I started to study Turbo Pascal, then C and C++, reading any software development books I could find. For me, software development was and still remains a riveting fractal puzzle, which, if solved properly, can undoubtedly transform our lives for better.Even though I engaged in programming as in intense hobby for a long time, but only at the age of 30 it became a full-time affair. I have been happily expanding my role as a software engineer ever since. Now my job title contains the word “senior”, but it does not matter much, there is still so much to learn.Interests/skills: Scala (web back-ends and microservices via akka, play, a bit of http4s), C#/.NET (desktop apps mostly, with a bit of ASP.NET Core), SQL, TDD, WinAPI, Jenkins. Rust seems cool, I wish more companies were using it.
