Thesis on Data collection and analysis in urban scenarios

I am working on the project of Data analysis and visualization performed by the Data Science Research Centre, University of Derby, UK (www.derby.ac.uk/data-science) in the context of the IWUN project (Improving Wellbeing through Urban Nature), funded by the UK Natural Environment Research Council (valuing nature research programme). IWUN (http://iwun.uk) aims to find out more about how Sheffield's natural environment can improve the health and well-being of the city’s residents, and especially those with disproportionately high levels of poor health.

How vice-director I have supported the technical director in these tasks:- After the inspections, evaluate the work, procedures and the inspection reports made by inspectors;- Develop and evalutate of the company goals, objectives, policies, priorities and procedures;- Supervise and partecipate in inspections, ensuring the safety and quality standards;- Stay abreast of laws update and technical innovationsin the field of inspections;- Check the documentation and make a cost estimate for invitations to tender;- Forecast funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies;- Estabilishing schedules and methods for inspections;- Select, train, motivate and evalutate personnel.

Technical inspections how to specified on the provisions Italian "D.P.R. 462/01" for: - Installations and protecting devices against atmospheric discharges - Grounding devices for installations using voltages up to 1000 V - Grounding devices for installations using voltages over 1000 V - Electrical installations in workplaces with danger of explosion ATEX

- Designer of connection plants of several photovoltaic parks;- Consultant for process of construction permits.

During the internship I have written my thesis on the work done in the R&D department:• Test on company’s software that calculates how much energy can produce a photovoltaic plant.• Initial development of an energy storage system for photovoltaic plants.• State of the art analysis of concentrated-photovoltaic technology.• Analysis and test on photovoltaic modules of a new producer.
