Responsible for the successful launch of new automotive products (heater and coolant hoses) for BMW, GM, DMG customers (Bombardier, Polaris, Nyloncraft, MPC, etc), and engineering changes. Responsible for APQP and project coordinator, from quote stages, through validation testing and final implementation to the Production floor.The product consisted of single hoses or complex assembly to be installed on the engine. Use of core tools APQP, FD, AMEF, CP, SPC, 8D, GPDS, and specific customer certifications. Management of process for the quotation of new products verifying the feasibility according to internal guidelines, capacity to meet customer standards, tracking and submission of internal quotes and to the customers Analysis and development of the plans for platform implementations considering customer’s milestones for successful launches. APQP meetings leadership (internal & external). Implementation and tracking for engineering changes requested by the customer or originated by internal needs Analysis and management of new components according to the requirements for new platforms in development Communication bridge between customers and MGIC departments to reach customer satisfaction. Tracking for effective cost recovery, tool billing, etc. related to the development of parts through the prototype samples to the production tools and development of tooling needed for new components. Handling technical documentation (customer drawings, 3D data files, PO’s & TPO’s, Assurance for on-time deliveries of prototype samples, PPAP pieces according to customer milestones, and SOP implementation for internal process. Capacity analysis of the new platforms developed according to customer requirements fulfilling correct requirements.
