Technical Support to Linux based applications:-QAD ERP over RedHat running on VMware virtual machines, deployed on four different datacenters. Progress Database backup, restore and maintenance. Configuration and troubleshooting. HotFix patching on production environments.-Java CRM application running on JBoss and Tomcat, on CentOS servers including PostgreSQL 9.x cluster. Developed some scripts for performance annalysis on application server and database cluster. Migration to VMware virtual machines. -Deploy, configuration and support of Alfresco based document manager.-Deploy, configuration and support of Subversion SVN server on CentOS server.2nd. level support to other Linux based services.-Technical advisory on FLOSS deployment.- Monitoring implementation and development using Nagios/Cacti, Whatsup and AWStats. This solutions helped us anticipate performance issues and failures, and reduce troubleshooting and resolution times, increasing dramatically web application availability.

Provide technical support, installation, configuration and troubleshooting on Linux, HP-UX, and HP Servers hardware, to various customers, including Banco Comercial, CITA, Agroland, Telefónica Movistar, Citibank, Hospital Policial and Casa de Galicia.Support on HP Dataprotector.Work with presales and sales to design and deploy Linux based infrastructure projects, being the most important ones:-High Availability load balanced Squid Proxy on Plan Ceibal.-Installation of Asterisk Based IVR and PBXs, including high availability distributed Asterisk PBX with Cacti Monitoring.

Internal systems support, including:-Helpdesk to development team.-E-mail server administration (Courier MTA) including customization of antivirus scanning scripts.-Support to a replicated MySQL server for an external customer.-Participated as analyst in consulting project for Banco Nacional de Angola, performing interviews for requirements gathering and analysis. Wrote a paper for internal use on requirement engeneering.-Designated by Project Manager to present the final report to BNA Directors.

In charge of support of a 15 seats network and mobile users, including Helpdesk, server administration, DBA and elaboration of reports to management.Liaison with technology providers and other Credit Unions on some joint projects.

The projects I worked on were:-Spanish translation review of LPIC-1 exams.-Training, high level support and E-mail service migration on the Uruguay Navy forces.-Some scripts for Banca de Quinielas de Montevideo.
