Responsibilities Meet with prospective clients and discuss their dream house, take notes and create a design from their favourite style (ie. Modern west coast, prairie, craftsman, etc) house. After the initial design is approved by the client, I'd start on the working drawing sets. These sets are used for the building and construction process as well as obtaining building permits. I reviewed each drawing and would see it through from start to finish. Skills Used AutoCAD, Sketchup, BC and Alberta Building Code knowledge, incorporating client images and designing houses based off them, Photoshop, AutoCAD Standards, and customer service and communication (communicating with clients, General contractors, city planners, etc)

Research & Development, Prototype designs, Switchgear, 5kV-25kV, Arc Flash resistant doors and cells, 3D Solidworks design and modeling, CNC programing, MetaMation / MetaCAM, FabriWIN, Drawing Assemblies, Product Quality Control, Drawing review, Create drawing standards, sheet metal design - 1/4" to 20ga. material, Copper BUS bar design, 3 phase electrical units composing of breakers and switches.

Design, create, update, and setup new architectural wood acoustic ceiling and wall panels, receive and make calls to general contractors helping and advising them on how to install our products. Scheduling and insuring product is being manufactured on time and is in good quality.

Creating Bill of Materials for manufactured products like; Clean Switches - oxidizers, Printing Press Dryers, and Battery Casings, and entering them into Oracle database software. CNC programming for laser, Amada (punch) and ESAB plasma cutting machines. Laying out sheet metal flats, designs, and cutting patterns, including brake press bends.

Case segmentation for orthopedic knee replacement devices, creating a 3D model of the patients femur and tibia bones for accurate block placement, updating database driven cliental, and using MASK software systems to trace over patients MRIs.

Designed horizontal turbine pumps, submersible pumps, centrifugal pumps, impellers, discharge heads, flanges, suction bells, shafts, bowls and pumps for water, chemical, and agricultural uses. Created BOM, machine, pattern, submittal, and production drawings using AutoCad 2009 and Solid Works.

Designed promotional materials (brochures, CD covers, videos, business cards, post cards, posters), newsletters, websites, and educational materials in both English and Spanish. Designed, estimated cost, supervised, and constructed several churches and a 2,000 sq. ft. multi-use building in Nicaragua.

Met with clients, designed custom homes, drew complete house plans, coordinated meetings and handled issues with contractors, trained fellow employees, created BOM, truss design, site plans, ad work, 3D renderings, and assisted in the construction of a house built for the “Extreme Home Makeover” TV series.

Worked with civil engineers to draw and design civil plans for a number of private and public sector projects including a desalination plant, several prestigious residential and commercial sites, expressway/highway design, and worked with AutoCAD LDD (Land Development and Design - Civil 3D).
