Was responsible for the IT project management for the build of the Texas store and warehouse. This is the largest retail home furnishings store in the United Stated of America at just under 2 million square feet. Managed thousands of devices on the network, and supervised a team of 15 support staff, network engineers, and multimedia professionals.Management of all store IT functions, support and IT personnel. Previous Roles at this organization include Infrastructure Engineer III and then Infrastructure Supervisor before being promoted to IT Manager for the new Nebraska Furniture Mart flagship store in Texas.

Ran the Fiber Optics Utility department for the city of South Sioux City, NE. Other duties included management of locating personnel and the IT Manager. Together with the IT Manager managed servers and systems for the city. During my time we saved the city significant amounts of money by streamlining server processes and backups, and eliminating or virtualizing most physical servers. Responsibilities included managing relationships with ISP's for the city, creating and managing need for shared fiber resources, managing tower lease agreements for telecommunications companies like Verizon, and AT&T. Worked directly with the city council and City Administrator to achieve city technology goals.

I was responsible for all IT infrastructure, software implementations, networking, systems, desktop support, cellular support, management of the graphic design and building security departments in addition to IT. I built the entire IT and telephony environments from the ground up.

Worked directly with sales people at Best Buy and Customers to meet their technology needs. Handled support calls and in person support requests for any number of home theater, computer, camera, car audio, or other supported products. Often did realtime in person initial diagnosis of customer computers to establish courses of action for repair work for covered and non covered services.

During college at BYU I found this excellent job building custom prehung doors. In some cases I also provided IT support for the company as needed.
