Examine criminal history and case information to determine probable penalties for law violations. Speak with clients, both in and out of custody, to address probable penalties for law violations and answer questions or concerns. Listen to clients to gain insight into their case that may help in resolving law violations. Communicate regularly with the city prosecutor and the probation department to negotiate penalties for misdemeanor crimes or violations of probation and resolve cases accordingly.Collaborated with City Attorney's office to successfully apply for grant to implement Community Court program in Puyallup, which seeks to rehabilitate individuals involved in the criminal justice system who struggle with addiction, mental health, housing, educational, and employment issues. Through the success of our program, we have reduced criminal recidivism while helping individuals achieve their goals of sobriety, employment, and so forth.

Collaborated with the City Prosecutor to procure a federal grant designed to establish a Community Court program in Puyallup. One of six grant recipients nationally charged with the mission of establishing a community court program to assist at-risk individuals in the community who may be struggling with addiction, housing, educational, or mental health issues.
