Business Development Manager -Northeast Region At United States Gypsum CoUnited States Gypsum Co Dec 2022 - PresentI believe that there is a place for load bearing cold formed steel in residential construction including low rise multi-residential. Lightweight Structo-Crete Structural Cementitious Panels allow for a single trade, faster construction scheduling, passive fire-resistance, lower builders risk and property insurance versus combustible construction. Prefabrication and locally formed Cold Formed Steel changes the cost difference between Type 5 wood frame that is stuck at 5 floors above a podium. CFS is 95% recycled and the life cycle costs are lower than organic systems. Type I and II non-combustible construction offers opportunites to create lightweight, dry solutions for mezzanines, platforms, auditorium seating, additonal floors on existing Type I buildings. The least cost 2 hour rated UL tested, non-combustible construction for Type II A Nursing Care and Memory Care bar none.
