Internship in the Local and Indigenous Knowledge Systems (LINKS) programme of the Division of Science Policy and Basic Sciences in the Natural Sciences sector of UNESCO.- Supporting the design, implementation and reporting of LINKS programme activities related to the inclusion of Indigenous knowledge systems in national, regional and global processes related to food security, water, biodiversity, climate change, ocean and other relevant thematic areas ; - Supporting the development of material for the inclusion of Indigenous Peoples and local communities in the Ocean Decade ; - Supporting in researching data, collecting information, preparing briefing notes, analytical reports, databases, presentations and fact-sheets on ILK related issues and programmatic cooperation between UNESCO, its Member States, partners and relevant Regional and Subregional Indigenous Organizations ; - Supporting the development of communication material for the LINKS programme to increase visibility ;- Support the organization of events and meetings of the LINKS programme ; - Contributing to other LINKS related activities and tasks.

Internship with the Indigenous Peoples Team in the Environment, Gender, Climate and the Social Inclusion Divison at the International Fund for Agricultural DevelopmentMain responsibilities:• Supported the organization of the sixth global meeting of the Indigenous Peoples' Forum at IFAD in February 2023. whose theme was “Indigenous Peoples' Climate Leadership: community-based solutions to enhance resilience and biodiversity.”• Contributing to the promotion of indigenous issues in IFAD’s presence in international events (COP27, World Food Forum, 46th IFAD Governing Council).• Supporting internal and external administrative tasks, communications, advertisement, event planning.• Policy advocacy and awareness raising on indigenous issues and the Forum during internal and external events in interaction with various actors.• Contributed to the drafting of internal and external technical reports, questionnaires, presentations and knowledge pieces like the 2022 UNPFII questionnaire.Main achievements:• High level of responsibility compared to IFAD internship programme’s standards.• Success of the organization of the Forum’s logistics, planning, and outcomes.• Valued work of awareness-raising and advocacy on indigenous issues.• Fast integration to the team and its work as an engaged, proactive and versatile team member.• During the Forum, acted under pressure with more than 42 indigenous delegates, showing a great extent of cultural awareness, to facilitate the good planning of the event.• Interacted and coordinated with IFAD country offices around the world on context-specific indigenous issues for communication, awareness-raising, and advocacy.• Supported the team’s presence in more than 10 sub-regional and regional consultation meetings with the preparation of PPTs, including presentations that I delivered.
