Elmar John O. Aniciete is a lawyer and is currently one of the corporate legal counsels of Conal Corporation, the entity that provides corporate services in the treasury and corporate finance, comptrollership, audit, legal, and human resources function to the Alcantara Group of Companies. He is a graduate of the Juris Doctor program from the UP College of Law. As a requirement for the completion of the said degree program, he took his internship at the UP Law Internship Center and at the UP Office of Legal Aid where he received from the said offices remarks of with distinction and with excellence respectively.Elmar earned his undergraduate degree in BS Economics from the School of Economics, UP Diliman where he was awarded, together with Ms. Christine Barchini, with the Fund Managers Association of the Philippines Award for Best Financial Thesis and the Gerardo P. Sicat Award for Best Thesis, which is entitled, "Assessing the Predictive Capability of Google Search Volumes on Philippine Peso Exchange Rates."Elmar also serves as a Tactical Officer of the UP Diliman ROTC Unit. He has been a member of the reserve force of the Armed Forces of the Philippines since 2013 after he completed the Basic and Advance ROTC courses and he was commissioned as a second lieutenant last 2019. As a military reservist, he has received various military awards such as the DRRM Ribbon, the Kapanalig sa Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas Medal, two (2) Military Civic Action Medals, and the Military Merit Medal.Elmar also served in the government sector as a University Research Associate of the University of the Philippines Diliman. During his time as government employee, he held an additional assignment of NSTP Coordinator for ROTC.
