Strategic and experienced arts manager who has made a strong impact in each role. Initially working in youth theatre, I have expanded and developed my skill set to include dance, digital media and technology, literature, music and my true passion, film. Proven track record of supporting and developing artists, inspiring them to activate their own creativity and leadership as well as design and delivery of artistic training at primary and post primary levels. Leadership highlighted by management of teams including freelance practitioners, leading challenging project such as the wind-up of a company and acting up in the role of Arts Officer for an extended period. Strong financial management and planning skills complemented by an ability to successfully win additional funding internally and externally. Through own role and as a board member, have experience of managing a diverse range of stakeholder relationships with local politicians, community bodies, private organisations, arts agencies, schools and statutory bodies. Driven by the desire to support artists at all stages of development to achieve their goals on a local, national and international stage and highlight the impact the Arts can have across our society.
