CurrentWorking in a face paced high street opticianI am responsible for being the first point of contact when patients enter our store,pre screening patients before the optometrist conducts their eye test using ophthalmic equipment including auto refractor and optical coherence tomography Booking/ rearranging eye test appointments via phone and in person using optical software programs.resolving customers enquiries/complaints.Performing minor glasses repairs/adjustments.Assisting patients to select the correct frames and contact lenses to suit their personal tastes and needs.Dispensing a range of glasses and contact lenses to patients taking into account the frame they have chosen the strength of their prescription and lens options that they have chosen. Upselling and cross selling products in line with current promotions to maximised store profit and to exceed kpi targets.Merchandising the store using company planograms to showcase the latest products.General administration including scanning on referrals to patients files , telephoning the nexts days booked appointments to confirm they are still attending their scheduled eye tests.Taking cash and card payments from patients/setting up direct debits for subscription based contact lenses and eyecare plan patients.
