This position required a detailed knowledge of all aspects of the Light Gauge Steel Framing Business. The main thrust of the work was to introduce and promote the PinnacleLGS suite of software integrated LGSF machines to the North and South American markets.The following was achieved• Recruited and trained a professional sales force and placed them strategically throughout the continent • Developed effective marketing initiatives• Opened a World Class training facility • Started an LGS Frame production business • Set up a Showroom for International clients visiting the U.S.• Installed software and structural design support service for customers• Trained and developed skilled production and installation teams for many machine buyers throughout South America• Overall responsibility for all administrative and financial systems to support the business

In response to difficult economic conditions in my country from late 2008, I concurrently carried out many assignments, which included: • Working directly for the purchasers of Stanta to help their transition and consolidate their ownership of the company with the existing clients, suppliers and specifiers. • Acted as adviser to a number of businesses which were facing challenges of all types, especially serious financial problems, assisting them to develop and implement solutions. • Led the testing and development of a new window product which has been launched into the market for a long established joinery company. www.evergreensash.ie• Project managed several building renovations from design to completion, all with LGSF.• Assisted my wife in setting up a franchised healthcare business to employ 80 people with a profitable turnover of about $1 million

I developed this innovative company which specialized in Structural Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF). From the start it earned a reputation as a leader in the fabrication of factory designed, off-site manufactured solutions to support many architectural finishes including complete structures and POD production.• Built Ireland’s first Light Gauge Steel Framed house in Ireland in 1998. It was also the first to use External Insulation, which has since become commonplace. • I led the development of software solutions for efficient design, oversaw testing and ultimately approval of the Stanta LGSF system by the BBA in the UK, designed an efficient factory layout, installed an EN ISO 9001:2000 compliant quality system. • In sales and marketing I won approval from all the (sometimes skeptical) top Engineering and Architectural companies as well as Main Contractors in Ireland and many leading companies in the UK. The Stanta brand name became the specified LGSF solution of choice for fast track prefabricated contracts throughout Ireland and the UK.• Led expansion into the UK where product was exported to major PLC contractors constructing prisons in Scotland, hospitals in England and schools in Wales and on the Channel Islands.• Approved supplier to international brands such as Wyeth Medica, Pfizer, Intel, Microsoft, Coca Cola, etc. • Managed growth from zero in 2000 to a very profitable €15 million turnover in 2007. • Built an organization with 110 employees at peak which included designers, factory managers, surveyors, and engineers.• I oversaw all aspects of complex, time constrained projects in office blocks, housing complexes, hotels, shopping centers, public buildings, manufacturing facilities and apartment blocks.Liquidated the company in response to deep recession post September 2008.

This company provided a nationwide service in the commercial fit-out sector of the construction industry. In 12 years I achieved the following;• Managed all aspects of this company’s development from inception to a profitable turnover of €5 million in 2004. We had a blue chip client list, most of whom came back continually. We were profitable every year and only ceased to trade when I decided to start Stanta which was more technically advanced. • Installed an ISO quality system, the first in its sector in 1993.• Gained great experience in working with Multinational design companies such as Arup and Jacobs in High Tech manufacturing facilities such as Intel, IBM, Microsoft, Takeda etc.• The workload was gained from all the top national building contractors and we had a dominant position in fit-outs for major retail brand names such as Superquinn, Arnotts, Marks and Spencers etc.

The last project I completed for Miller was a £12 million Office block in the City, having full responsibility for every aspect of the construction an office block London Bridge. The project was handed over in the allotted 14 months with a higher margin than forecast. I was site manager on several projects prior to that, a new Sainsbury’s shopping center in Harringay, North London and the Royal Opera House renovation in Covent Garden.

Site Manager on a 300 apartment complex in Knightsbridge, delivering 6 apartments per week to the highest specification for very exacting buyers and their individual design teams. • Managed at least 30 subcontractors in a sprawling inner city location.• Controlled unrealistic subcontractor financial expectations.• Liaised with local community to keep relationships on an even keel.

Successfully completed the upgrade of 8 London Underground tube stations totaling £5 million. These contracts were managed concurrently, by deploying a large number of subcontractors to upgrade a mixture of listed and historical buildings to incorporate the latest IT driven ticketing systems. This was achieved with minimal disruption to LU timetables or its thousands of daily customers.

Managed the delivery of 25 pipe jack tunnels with a team of 30 in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
