Ecologistas en Acción is an ecological co-operative federation. I previously interned with Ecologistas en Acción Andalucia, in Seville. The remit of this internship was quite broad. My day to day responsibilities included tending to the organisation's allotments in Parque San Jerónimo. On a weekly basis, I was also tasked with running a schools outreach programme, where I would visit local schools, teach children (7-13) how to tend to a small plot and talk about sustainability and growing food. Ecologistas en Accion in Sevilla is also currently building its links with Universidad de Sevilla, I wrote sustainability reports and attended meetings relevant to this.

I worked weekends, over holidays and my duties typically included sowing, propagating, watering, weeding and feeding and harvesting crops. I made deliveries into kitchens. This background has given me an intrinsic interest in nature and conservation and a hardworking ethos.
