Provided mentoring to assist entrepreneurs with fundraising, and also helping to develop compelling commercialization and go to market strategies

Working closely with the CEO and design team to develop and build a digital health startup. My responsibilities included managing the general accounting and finance function including fundraising and equity investment opportunities. I also managed general compliance and due diligence fundraising opportunities, general compliance and due diligence as well as building the overall business model, and go-to-market strategies.

Part of Management Team responsible for delivering the Bank’s de-leverage strategy. Focused on exiting distressed assets for value and rebuild the Bank’s capital base to support new business lending opportunities. A hugely successful project with the amount of debt reduction (total GBV €4bn) and capital released both exceeding target and achieved ahead of expectation. • Managed a portfolio of defaulted/non-performing loans through an accelerated portfolio sale. Process involved large granular and well publicized portfolios marketed to private equity distressed debt funds, and other banks. • Developed strong project management skills. Actively involved in full deal execution, structuring the portfolios, enabling data, coordinating project launch, follow-up Q&A with investors and working with all external advisers.• For each case, analyzed possible outcomes including potential for Full Repayment, Consensual Debt Settlement, Insolvency, and Loan Sale and made informed recommendations to the board following comprehensive due diligence. • Developed strong negotiation skills helping to influence customers and intermediaries to achieve timely resolution to problematic cases which helped avoid formal insolvency in many cases.• Successfully restructured several high profile distressed debt cases for a mixed portfolio of trading businesses and real estate customers, including significant debt recovery solutions devised by way of individual settlement agreements.• Intense management of assets under defaulted loans including appointment of insolvency to take control and 3rd Party professionals to manage, including strategies to complete construction projects to de-risk assets and ready them for sale.• Led several sub team projects including setting terms of engagement with external legal advisers and designing a process to re-mediate the team’s legacy collateral issues to minimize potential impact on future asset sale prices.

Managed a portfolio within the Banks Specialist GRG unit, set up to help the Bank manage its distressed assets, playing a key part in the ultimate recovery of the Bank’s impaired balance sheet. Vastly experienced in corporate restructurings for companies with difficulties servicing their debt. From 2010–2012 worked within the large Corporate Portfolio team with responsibility for restructuring and de-leveraging a distressed debt portfolio of €750m, spread over corporate and real estate clients.Responsibility for strategy formulation and identifying range of options to maximize bank’s recovery. Key success factor was my ability to build relationships and consensus with all stakeholders, to devise and implement successful strategies and to manage individual processes in line with divisional objectives. Responsibilities –• Provision of refinancing and restructuring solutions on a portfolio of extremely cashflow sensitive businesses, where the management of working capital was key to survival. Key focus was to keep viable businesses "alive" allowing them both time and support to come through their difficulties. • Presented de-leverage strategies to the bank’s review panel highlighting critical areas of concern to maximize return, including asset disposals and analysis of other refinance options. • Responsible for assessment of collateral held and its marketability in the preparation of cashflow projections to assess appropriate provisioning levels to meet the bank’s reporting obligations.• February ’12 moved to manage another portfolio of distressed and largely insolvent SMB clients. Formulated restructuring strategies including write offs, re-sizing of debt and seeking to gain the Bank future upsides such as equity participation.• Regularly liaised with external professionals and legal advisers to ensure maximization of debt recovery and minimize any further losses. Significant experience gained of receivership, liquidation and the bankruptcy process.

- Managed portfolio of corporate and real estate clients. Responsibility for managing relationships, writing new credit papers, preparing annual reviews to monitor performance, and other value add through cross selling of other banking products. - Responsible for generating an active pipeline through targeting new business opportunities, reviewing proposals, and preparing term sheets.- Developed key skills including problem solving, due diligence, analytical review using financial modeling, understanding complex legal agreements, preparation of credit papers and presenting to senior credit approval forums in Dublin and London.- Extensive experience in deal execution including exposure to syndication and club deals.- Gained considerable knowledge of the real estate, leisure, and healthcare industries, and their applicable laws and regulations.

- Provided monthly analytical review and management reporting on the performance of the MPT REIT. - Liaised with external auditors in reviewing hybrid debt structures and debt models used to fund construction development projects and investment assets. - Prepared budgets and worked with Treasury in forecasting cash requirements including preparation of year-end tax adjusted Trust dividend distributions. - Special project work including adoption of new processes and changes in accounting standards designed to improve the accuracy of disclosures in financial reporting including Cap-Ex and external contracting/outsourcing processes.

- Prepared monthly reports to financial controller on the performance of the asset management business, including analysis of financials and commentary on key drivers of business performance.- Assisted CFO in forecasting and cashflow preparation following the divestment of a major business area and its deconsolidation from the group accounts. - Assisted corporate accounting team, liaising with the external auditors in the preparation of year-end financial statements for SPV companies including a number of consolidated entities. - Key contact on project team to review and develop Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and drafting required documentation.

- Worked on individual and team engagements to assess strength of clients’ operating and internal control systems. - Analytical review to highlight weaknesses and risks while reporting suggested improvements, clients included:- Coca Cola, BHP Billiton, and also federal government agencies including the departments of health and land.

- Preparation of year end audited reports for large private owned companies as well as larger public listed companies while reporting to audit directors and partners on all other significant audit issues.
