I worked as part of an incident management team working on multiple incidents across the Thomson Reuters organisation interacting with global support teams and senior executive management on a day-to-basis.I ensured that when dealing with major incidents that have impact or the potential to impact the brand, that the correct teams are involved and that if escalation is needed to mitigate and resolve incidents are put in place in a timely manner. I also acted as an approver on any emergency change requests that have an impact on production services and I'm involved with opening problem management tickets once an incident has been resolved to ensure root cause has been established and that steps are in place to reduce the chances of an incident happening.I also from time to time assisted my management with requests for training new staff which helps cement relationships in the team and makes the team a more efficient and attractive prospect for new clients and business that require incident management within Thomson Reuters. In this position, I was part of a team that performed proximity services involving the set up and maintenance of the IT infrastructure in the data center. This also included the monitoring of servers,applications, network & power systems using web-based monitoring tools, along with performing physical checks to make sure the IT infrastructure remained in a functional manner.
