Kansas

Served two full terms, working across party lines on successful legislation concerning economic development (Kansas Economic Growth Act and Bio Science Initiative), taxation and education funding. Was one of eight bipartisan legislators in 2005 to author the school funding bill that brought an end to the 2005 special session of the legislature and satisfied the Supreme Court’s 2005 order related to Kansas school funding.
