Dr. Evangelos Otto Simos serves as Director of Research at e-forecasting, an economic research and consulting firm specializing in customized economic forecasts and solutions. For over 30 years, Dr. Simos has analyzed domestic and international economic conditions and assessed their outlook for businesses, consumers, and financial markets, including several Fortune 500 clients. Through his research, he has developed a unique modeling approach that creates real-time economic indicators and the most accurate economic forecasts available. In addition, Dr. Simos is a Professor of Economics at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire and has also served as the economics department chair for 15 years.Evangelos’ research interests include macroeconomics, monetary theory and policy, modeling and forecasting, and international trade and finance. His recent research has focused on currency revaluation, non-inflationary growth, the global economic recovery, and industrial stagnation. Dr. Simos also creates monthly and quarterly briefings on the intricacies of the global economy. Furthermore, his research has been widely published in national and international business and economic journals including the Journal of Business Forecasting, of which he is editor, the Journal of Political Economy and the Journal of Monetary Economics. For decades his work on indicators has been used by practitioners and publicized by CIRET and Ifo Institute (Institute for Economic Research) in Europe to Wall Street research consultancy, regional media outlets, and economic blogs such as Larry Kudlow's Money Politic$ and Dr. Menzie Chinn's econobrowser. Dr. Simos has presented his research on state leading indicators with a joint presentation with Owens Corning at the Institute of Business Forecasting and also released his monthly hotel industry indicators at a presentation at the first annual Hotel Data Conference.
