At that point of time, Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB (SIT AB), was looking to employee 25 newly graduated engineers to undergo a design trainee program. The concept was to divide the 9 month long period into two parts, a period conducting different assignments in a department and a period with seminars/courses. As the whole concept was very intriguing for me I applied and was later chosen together with 15 other fellow engineers. The trainee program was a very interesting, fun and educational period and also a great start to my career. During the 9 month’s I ended up working in the order execution electrical & control department for Siemens steam turbines. Until Mars 2008 I supported the department with converting the control system into functional logic diagrams. Aspis Liv AB was an insurance company with offices in Norrkoping and Stockholm. I started in the company as a software developer and worked mainly with Visual Basic.Net and SQL databases. During my time at Aspis Liv I was working mainly with creating reports based on information retrieved from the company’s customer database. The reports were mainly used by the company’s management for statistics and for making strategical decisions.

After the finalization of my studies I was enlisted and conducted the 12 month obligatory military duty in Greece. With reference to my earlier studies I was trained and assigned to be a communication operator. During the military duty I was operator of telecommunication, radio communication and encrypted communication in the army base communication center as well as out in the field.
