Joined the development team at Fokker Landing Gear (a GKN Aerospace company) to support sustaining tasks on the NH90 landing gear system. The FLG site in Helmond is involved in the design, development, manufacture and overhaul of Landing Gear and Arresting System components for a range of civilian and military aircraft, both fixed- and rotary-wing, including the F-35 and F-16 fighters, AH-64 attack helicopter, MQ-9 unmanned surveillance drone, NH90 multirole helicopter and Dash-8 regional turboprop.My main tasks thus far have been:-Reducing overhaul costs for the NH90 Nose Landing Gear strut, based on a comprehensive analysis of past overhaul and service data, ensuring the continued safety of the components.-Resolving Problem Reports on in-service parts through multidisciplinary root cause analysis.-Developing new procedures for the surface treatment of anodized aluminium parts.-Resolving Non-conformity Reports on manufactured landing gear parts.-Updating existing service and repair procedures impacted by the REACH regulation.I also collaborated with a volunteer team within GKN Aerospace (Fokker's parent organization) to develop a proof-of concept eVTOL air taxi. My contribution focused on flight and control simulations.

Joined as part of a technology transfer project for an international client centred on the Freedom S100 amphibious light aircraft, and eventually overhauled the manufacture documentation and process.Conducted case studies for the performance of an amphibious airframe in different flight conditions and configurations.Developed a design proposal for an unmanned twin-engine amphibian patrol craft.Planned a flight test campaign to verify envelope limits under certain load distributions.

Madrid Area, Spain

Performed materials research, particularly on creep compliance of polymers, via ambient and high-temperature tests for an extented period of time.Helped optimize water distribution systems for IntelliGlass smart windows.Recieved hands-on experience working with hydraulic systems.
