The migration involved over ten separate applications supporting accounting, quality assurance, chemical test laboratory, physical test laboratory, raw material purchasing, as well as plant and corporate management. Centralized data access while replacing Q+E functions with equivalent ADO function calls. Rewrote hundreds of SQL’s embedded in code as part of migration from DB2 to Oracle. Migrated over 100 Crystal Reports 4.0/DB2 to Crystal Reports 8.5/Oracle. Provided Daily Support to Coke Production Recording System. Made various database corrections for proper accounting of coke shipped. Maintained downstream billing processes with other plants. Implement new system in parallel with old system for testing prior to deployment. Accommodated custom enhancements to old system while migrating to new. Implemented many new enhancements to Coke Production Recording System. Created first automated daily report of operations used by executive management. Trimmed 24 hours off time to generate bills of lading for railroad companies. Migrated an MSDS document imaging system from VB30/DB2/TIFF to VB60/Oracle/PDF. Migrated Coal Tracking System from VB30 16bit DB2 to VB60 32bit Oracle.
