Software developer working on contracts for the government involving distributed computing and cloud infrastructure management.- Lead development teams between 3 and 9 engineers by architecting solutions and tasking developers in small groups to accomplish large development tasks.- Designed and developed a generic data quarantine system on top of Apache Storm in order to provide platform level support for a data holding area when performing streaming ingest and analytics.- Responsible for a large scale Accumulo backed data warehouse used as a system of record within our platform, as well as the backbone of our data replay service.- Designed and built a Redis backed message queuing system for use in a simulated cloud development environment provisioned by Vagrant. - Worked on a mission critical web application which involved improving user experience through new link analysis tools. Supported conversion of MarkLogic XML graph storage to JSON format for KeyLines.- Developed RESTful web service endpoints in Java, Scala, and Rails.- Exposed to the Hadoop MapReduce framework, and tasked with writing batch distributed processing jobs.- Developed Storm topologies which transformed input data and built distributed graphs in Apache Titan.- Continually expected to rapidly learn new technologies and find libraries/frameworks which can solve given problems quickly and cleanly.

Software development, test development and execution, tool development and support for the infrastructure team within the En-Route Automation Modernization (ERAM) program.- Developed a daemon which interacted with the AIX operating system in order to report system errors back to our application. Development involved a C executable which was monitored by a Korn Shell script.- Updated XML processing tools via libxml2 C library. Provided interoperability between Ada and C libraries for XML parsing at system startup.- Created a Perl script which cross referenced local networking configurations with static configurations defined by XML files to verify that machines were set up properly.
