-Made top-level FEA model of the Aeon R engine (versions 1.3 and 1.4) in Ansys to provide interface loads to component owners-Selectively simplified/defeatured geometry to allow a reasonable mesh count; modified material properties when necessary to target correct mass and stiffness properties-Defined realistic connections between components to allow rotation about the gimbal axes using translation of the thrust vector control actuators; developed an Excel tool to convert between gimbal amplitude and TVCA displacement-Set up load cases including pressure/thrust, thermal, engine gimbaling, acceleration, and aerodynamics-Extracted forces and moments for 59 interfaces for each load case and put them into a spreadsheet where they could be linearly scaled and combined to represent the requirements of different phases of the mission
