I am working towards a career in programming, most interested in app, databases, and web development. I have a Degree in Computing Science from Thompson Rivers University(TRU), and have finished a 6 month co-op position at Parks Canada as a Database Programmer Student. I currently work for Agents of Discovery. I currently live in Lake Country, though I have lived most of my life in Kamloops and was born in Prince George. My passion for video games and respect for the work that goes into creating them is what initially drove me to pursue a career in Computing Science.I currently have knowledge of the Java, C, C#, and Python programming languages, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, Android Studios, Oracle 12c GameMaker 8.1, and the Linux operating system. I have used the Eclipse, Visual Studios, and Dr Java, applications for much of my work. The projects I have done in class have been focused on using one and two dimensional arrays to store and display information, using stacks, creating classes, using inheritance, and creating and implementing interfaces. The Linux class has taught me to create new directories using mkdir, to use the cp command to move between directories, ls to list files, pwd to see current work directory, and nano to create C and text files for various projects.Outside of university life and programming, I enjoy playing video games, primarily on my PS4, but also on my phone and laptop. I collect rocks, most of which I buy from stores, I and like to go camping and hiking during the Spring and Summer. I also enjoy playing golf and tennis, and hanging out with friends.
