While at the University of Maryland, I have endured numerous challenges which I strategically assessed and resolved. The first of which was the difficulty of transition amidst an ongoing pandemic. Despite trouble acclimating, I joined organizations and clubs such as Sustainable UMD’s Green Terp Program, College Park Student Investment Group and Environment Technology and Economy Scholars, all of which afforded me the opportunity to forge deep lasting relationships with my peers. Additionally, I had a great deal of anxiety with the increased level of rigor. As a result, I made a habit of asking insightful questions in challenging courses such as differential equations, advanced programming concepts, circuit analysis, and signal analysis, in order to gain a better fundamental understanding of the material and push the bounds of my comfort zone and end with a cumulative GPA of 3.067, to date. Further, one of the largest challenges I have been faced with is affording it. In response, I have applied to every scholarship opportunity I have been eligible for and am honored to have received the A. James Clark Scholars, EAME Bishop Benjamin T. Tanner, and Academic Empowerment Foundation scholarships.Due to my acquisition of the A. James Clark Scholar Scholarship, I was enveloped in an ongoing service learning project consisting of ideation, designing, approval, and construction phases, which was quite frightening at first not knowing anything about the undertaking. Since then, I have assisted in the interpretation of CAD designs for the site and its stipulations for the development and CAD design/approval of a dedication podium for our bioretention garden site and crunching the numbers in MATLAB. Additionally, I have had an opportunity to participate in the approval phase, in which we consult directly with University of Maryland Facilities and Project Management Divisions in submitting and revising our project proposal and construction plans.Outside of school hours, I established Prophets2Profits Capital, a bifurcated service offering an in-depth course to become a proficient trader and an alerts service, where users can access thousands of market data sources and corresponding analyses consolidated into neat bot programs, Additionally, we are in the process of launching a cryptocurrency staking hedge fund entitled Prophets2Prophets’ Block to Block Facilitation Fund, leveraging the validation of the transactions on the blockchain and consumer interest in steady cryptocurrency exposure. To date, we have instructed 28 students and have 115 alert members.
