I am an urban geographer and spatial data scientist interested in conducting empirical research and applying methods to improve the understanding of urban development and to foster evidence-based decision making.The city and urban spaces are where the majority of my work exists and gets inspired.I holistically use both urban fieldwork (mostly in the form of quantitative surveys) and spatial data science to conduct empirical research and engage local stakeholders.I have experience in data visualisation, statistical analysis, large-scale field surveys, web scraping and machine learning.Methods: GIS analysis, OLS, logistic regression modelling, classification, spatio-temporal modelling, spatial clustering.Data Science: R, Python, SQL.Data Visualizations and Engine: Mapping (QGIS, ArcGIS, CartoDB, Mapbox).For more details about my publications or what I'm up to - visit my website www.pietrostefani.com
