I taught the lab section of a college course on the science of video optics, and was responsible for as many as 4 sections in an academic quarter. Fortunately, I was given permission to take ownership of the lab and could revise and create new assignments. I'd bring in video production equipment so students could pair the abstract scientific concepts to real world experience. Then I taught the class how to edit their footage and apply digital post and in-camera effects.
