I am currently a sophomore at Columbia University. Specifically, I study at the School of Engineering and Applied Science as an international student; originally for Monterrey, Mexico. I'm an aspiring engineer working towards a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. My passion for engineering has led the development of some amazing projects (which you can find in my engineering portfolio: https://linktr.ee/EPradoF?utm_source=linktree_admin_share). Most of my work has been in the design and manufacturing field by using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor, or Fusion360 and machines such as the Tormach 770M, WaterJet, Horizontal Bandsaw, LaserCutter, or 3D printers. I'm looking for career opportunities that will help develop these and many more skills. Through internships and work opportunities such as my time at Siemens Energy, I've further enhanced not only my technical but also non-technical skills such as teamwork, innovation, and perseverance. Working at Siemens Energy introduced me to the energy industry, specifically when working with gas turbines. I've learned the ins and outs of these impressive devices that serve to power our world and the intense work that goes with finding the most efficient ways to optimize their use. Aside from skiing, working out, or video gaming, I love learning about how the world functions and the logical explanations behind interesting phenomena. In fact, understanding how things around me function led my career towards engineering. I'm always looking forward to meeting new people and seize new opportunities, so feel free to reach out.
