Visual Contracts is a platform that facilitates lawyers and designers to learn and apply Legal Design Thinking with the aim of improving access to justice in a more human friendly way. The platform offers workshops and Legal Design sprints, to broaden and apply the skills and knowledge of lawyers and designers. It is centered around sharing knowledge with the community, based on practical cases, which professionals can use to stand out from the crowd and promote themselves. On top of this, custom projects are possible, where Legal Design Thinking is applied within a business context in which sensitive information needs to stay in between company walls.

During this internship I did research on the process of visual thinking and the influence of mental walls or blocks. With observations and client interviews I connected the JAM process with this theory (from James L. Adams "Conceptual Blockbusting, a guide to better ideas") and adviced JAM about improvements they could make in their process.
