Leading arXiv’s operations, as well as technical and business planning, governance, and fundraising efforts. Overseeing a growing staff distributed across Cornell University’s Ithaca campus, Cornell Tech in NYC, and other locations. Also coordinating a global network of volunteer advisory board members and moderators.

Responsible for functionality development for Scopus, the largest search & discovery database for academic literature and analytics solutions. - Overseeing of the whole development cycle of each project - develop the vision and strategy for new features, including the definition of primary metrics and targets- analyse market fitness - develop customer research methods - product design and business strategy. On the execution side, I lead Agile teams, developing search functionalities, stand alone applications and data analytics functions.Major achievements include:- Lead the development of a cross product application that allows users to update and edit their profile- Added a user dashboard in the main product, enhancing personalized experience of the website- Redesigned and added functionality to the "metrics" center of Scopus, including adding a SOLR search experience

As publisher I was responsible for 14 academic journals in Nuclear and High Energy Physics. My role was to organize and improve the editorial processes, appointing editors, attend international conferences, develop commercial spin-offs related to journals.I launched new digital products, such as SoftwareX, and increased market share by experimenting new business models.

Freelance collaboration with the Italian technology website Hardware Upgrade. I authored a weekly column about science and its applications in everyday life (https://www.appuntidigitali.it/tag/gatto-schroedinger/), with commentaries to events as the Fukushima incident, the Earthquake in l'Aquila and the discovery of the Higgs Boson.
