Elizabeth P. Torrey is a seasoned executive with more than ten years of experience in the investment field. She chose to become a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley for the breadth and depth of its products and services, professionalism, integrity, and commitment to diversity and community involvement.Her practice focuses on: Women; Women Business Owners; and Baby Boomers.Elizabeth also works with families with children with special needs. She is sensitive to their concerns, and understands the complexity of health, educational, family and financial issues.Prior to Morgan Stanley, Elizabeth worked with Fortune 500 companies, small and medium sized firms, and individuals investing in emerging markets in Latin America, Asia and Africa. She has traveled extensively in North and Central America, Europe, and Africa. Her professional experience includes overseas assignments in Canada, El Salvador, Nicaragua, France, Ghana, Benin, Cote d'Ivoire, Rwanda, Zambia, Lesotho, Madagascar, and South Africa.Elizabeth is a graduate of Trinity College with a B.A. in History. She holds an M.A. in Economics and European Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC. In her community, Elizabeth has been active in education, mentoring and fundraising. She served on the Board of a large, non-profit educational organization, Wonders Learning, 2006-2010, and successfully co-chaired the fundraising campaign for the Design and Renovation of an Inclusive Playground at Bethesda Elementary School, 2008-2009. She has been a volunteer coordinator and teacher with Junior Achievement.She enjoys bicycling, yoga, reading and travel. Elizabeth lives in Bethesda, MD with her husband and two sons.
