Facilitate Multi-agency IA Program Delivery in response to Local and Federally Declared Disasters including Housing Assistance (Financial/Direct), Other Needs Assistance (ONA), Disaster Case Management, Disaster Unemployment, Crisis Counseling, Disaster Legal Services.Increased Capacity of the State’s IA program due to the impacts of Hurricane Matthew (2016) and Florence (2018). Operational coordination of thousands of survivors, requiring over 90 employees in more than 50 Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) and associated locations throughout the State. IA staff conducts case work related to Sheltering and Direct Housing of most vulnerable survivors and an Individual Assistance Helpline is staffed and available to address time critical needs.Engage in problem solving complex disaster recovery issues through working with community partner agencies to identify strategies to assist survivors with related to affordable housing and other critical needs.Develop and implemented Voluntary Agency Liaison (VAL) program to coordinate training and technical assistance to LTRGs and Construction Analysts (CAs) to provide accurate real time damage assessments to best prioritize repairs to survivor’s homes.Application and Supervision of two separate Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) Grants, each funding state staff of 10 program management specialists and contract services of more than 60 contract case managers with a combined operational budget of $13.4 million.Manage Sheltering and Temporary Essential Power (STEP) Program under a $54 Million State and FEMA Public Assistance (PA) Grant for rapid and temporary home repairs. Operational Responsibility of a three-year State-funded $2 million VOAD Grant assisting volunteer organizations providing assistance to survivors of Hurricane Florence.

Disaster Assistance Employee / Public Assistance Coordinator (PAC) -• Lead grant-writing teams in direct response to federally declared disasters and conduct preliminary damage assessments (PDAs) of governmental infrastructure affected by disaster events.• Managed relations between FEMA, state agencies and various forms of local governance and private non-profit applicants to facilitate the needs of the (Public Assistance) PA Program.
