As a long time Kantara supporter and board member, I've actively engaged in the overall operations and strategy of Kantara. Sat as chair of the board 's Liaison sub-committee and co-chair of the board's DEIA sub-committee.

In this position, I navigated the complex acquisition process, working to adapt to and adopt emerging standards, including U2F (FIDO Alliance), WebAuthn, Verifiable Credentials and Presentations (W3C), and European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) compliance. I designed an actionable, accessible product strategy and briefing materials for the CEO, CPO, and C-suite leaders within our Product and Engineering teams. * It was within my purview to design technical and business-centered improvements, such as creating a roadmap for two new Product teams targeting the digital wallet, capitalizing on identity trends with a new portfolio and designs. * I expanded on our trend forecasting capabilities, establishing a standards squad and working to heighten industry standards bodies’ relationships, including the FIDO Alliance, W3C, ETSI, ISO, and Open Identity Exchange (OIX).* Created a cohesive three- and five-year forecasts and analyzing recent amendments to the EU 910/2014 (eIDASv2) and the associated European Digital Identity Wallet (ARF).* Commenced program to improve overall margins by 30% and customer satisfaction by 10% with a shift to in-house identification verification capabilities, mitigating costs and limiting unnecessary checks.

I directed the product and technical execution for our novel architecture, establishing an overall technology strategy, requirements, and business vision at all levels. I also spearheaded this startup’s Engineering team of 20 designing the first fully-distributed mobile wallet application using a privacy-first methodology, and the backend system for travel and finance sectors, utilized by major airlines such as American and Alaska. * I provided critical insight and support for our senior leadership throughout the 6-month funding rounds and eventual acquisition, including performing technical, business, and human due diligence. * I coordinated with our leadership and the board to prepare briefs and navigate planning for B-round investors* Oversaw acceleration of our roundtrip quality assurance (QA) and debugging by 25% while ensuring we retained a key customer by liaising with our vendor engineering leadership and the Airside team to accelerate completion and drive vendor defect remediations.* Key contributor on technology and privacy matters throughout our investment and acquisition-related due diligence; including privacy compliance with regulations such as GDPR, PIPEDA, and various US state and federal regulations.

I led the charge in collaborative efforts to establish cohesive written identity and security standards within OASIS, the Kantara Initiative (formerly the Liberty Alliance), and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), as well as a range of service offerings. I led our Engineering team in revitalizing the external identity management and API security infrastructure for a platform managing 1M users and API clients, as well as authorization infrastructure. * I consolidated numerous IDM stacks’ security, leading API security and identity lifecycle management and federation. We shrank the risk profile and set non-integrated systems’ audit/review processes, improving scalability above 25k transactions per second (TPS) utilizing Sailpoint, ForgeRock, Ping, and CyberArk, among others.* We won a multi-million ARR contract with MPAA Studios’ Technical Working Group for the Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem, LLC (DECE, Ultraviolet), creating a global digital “locker” for federated video content* I provided technical guidance for our Business Development teams and was instrumental in the metrics design for domain registries and mobile video content protection. * I Co-Chaired the Liberty Alliance Technology Committee during the Federation Framework (ID-FF) and Web Services Framework (ID-WSF) standards development and incorporated ID-FF into the SAML 2.0 metadata specification.
