ICHTHYS WORKERS ACCOMMODATION VILLAGE - Design manager for 'Central Facilities' including 8,500sqm kitchen and dining facility, indoor sports centre with gym and multi-court facilities, administration centre, bulk waste and recycling facility, medical centre, baggage store and integration with 875 portable accommodation units providing 3,500 bedrooms and private ensuites.- Apply building codes and standards to develop and guide resolution of critical design challenges including passive solution to spread of fire and site specific disability access response- Develop innovative strategies to improve safety during construction- Research, interpret and successfully navigate local legislative and regulatory controls and processes for Northern Territory to develop an 'Approvals, Licenses and Permits Management Plan, including management of matters such as Aboriginal Heritage, Historic Significance, Contamination, Weed Control, Aviation Airways, Land Clearing, Environmental Management and State Roads.- Key design focus on durability, sustainability and health and safety for LNG Plant construction workers- Creation and implementation of complex document control and numbering protocolsGOVERNMENT OFFICE BUILDING- Integral role in preparation of winning tender bid for 30,000sqm NLA office building- Design Manager for integrated Green Star Fitout, following Queensland Government Accommodation Office framework for delivery

Various projects, including multi-storey residential building ‘The Hudson’ at Albion, Youngcare disability care and residential accommodation, Aveo retirement village concept design management, ~10 x BER primary school projects in Brisbane, Bundaberg and Maryborough Regions. Roles entailed Design Compliance Management, Design Budget Management, Consultancy Engagements, Building Approvals, Defect Assessment and Advice, Design Program Development and Management.

Role was for the Electrical Sub-Contractor under Bovis Lend Lease head contract for the Queensland Government Brisbane Supreme Court and District Court Project, Brisbane, Queensland. Role entailed Site Office Establishment, HSE System Establishment and Management, QA System Establishment and Management, Accounts Management, Document Control System Establishment and Management, Purchasing and Financial Management, Timesheet Cost Allocations and Apprentice Training Record Keeping.

Role was for a medium-sized private developer/builder with myself and Director being the only two people fulfilling the in-house development and building functions. During my time with APD, I fulfilled an instrumental role in delivery of 19 independent projects, comprising approximately 185 individual residential units. My role entailed logistical coordination and substantial specification for a multitude of new and refurbishment development projects, predominantly residential and a few retail and industrial projects. Specific responsibilities included:- Preliminary site evaluation and feasibility review- Conceptual site analysis, master-planning and schematic building design- Prepare and manage authority planning applications and building approvals- Specification, quantification and ordering of interior finishes- Preparation of tender documentation and construction schedule- Dynamic quality assurance and project risk assessment- Coordination of and liaison with external project consultants- Development of sales and project marketing concept and documentation

Primary role was creation and day-to-day management of the financial feasibility model for Brisbane Cruise Terminal Development located at Portside Wharf, Hamilton, Brisbane, Queensland. Ancillary roles included design covenant manual preparation for Lakelands Golf Course Development, Lakelands; assistance with marketing and leasing phase for commercial office and retail project 'Proximity' in Toowong; conceptual investigations and feasibility studies for development of student accommodation at Bond University.

Role entailed the review and summary of lease conditions, calculation of rent reviews and outgoings liability, invoice processing, arrears management, monthly reporting. Key learning was a high level familiarity with Commercial Tenancy Leases.
