Kept close contact with all company’s direction, ensuring that the appropriate information always gets both to and from the sponsors, providing comprehensive support for senior-level staff. Working as a contractor, I bring extensive experience in these areas. Whether for a new industrial plant or modifications to an existing one, coordinating or simply acting as a consultant for planning, inspection, and managing projects. In the Maintenance area, I work on projects for repairs and overhauls of large equipment, aiming at deadline/budget/risk reduction goals in general and reviewing the maintenance plan to adjust priorities based on a structured methodology. I've managed strategic projects on the Ouro Branco - MG site of Harsco Environmental, a metal recovery plant, aiming to reduce risks of its service contract with the Gerdau biggest plant.The scope of the work included analysis of critical problems, alternative solutions versus respective impacts on production and environment, selection of suppliers & technologies, and monitoring of the implementation of actions.

- During this period I had the opportunity to help companies with sporadic tasks, but mainly to structure EC Engenharia Industrial, aiming to serve a specific niche with engineering services.

- Responsible for driving a Director Plan to increase the capacity of wires and other products for civil construction that doubled the capacity in five years, with 26 projects in six sites. The management model streamlined projects, obtaining significant benefits: savings of +US$10M and annual benefits in sales of US$75M.- Also responsible for the analysis / validation projects for the Wire Products in Brazil and countries in South America, in the segments of civil construction and industrial, in order to seek alignment to business demands, standardization of technology and adherence to good engineering practices. This method allowed the reduction in value of investments and implementation time schedules due to the standardization of technical solutions and the use of acquired knowledge between units.- Systematization of the planning process of new capacities, which later became a standard procedure, regulating the interaction between S&OP / Mkt / Manufacturing / Engineering, consequently streamlining engineering actions, allowing the capture of market opportunities.- Leadership of a program of projects to meet the Brazilian Safety Standard NR12, using assessments and risk standardized solutions. Practice of solutions exchanging between units led to standardization, saving time and reducing costs of design and labor.- Orientation of technical teams in the process of defining of better processes and selection of new technologies, including trips to various countries (North America, Europe, UAE and Asia) with visits to suppliers of equipment and goods manufacturers.- Other responsibilities: validation of the demands plan of all products in the wire segment versus existing capacities, the new capacity plan, the annual investment budget; responsible of interfacing PMOs - global or Brazil and engineering teams; interaction with the Supplies Dept. for new equipment suppliers certification; support to industrial units in strategic projects.

- Structured and led a Team of +10 direct reports Project Managers with activities in two Wire Processing Plants and one Rolling Mill, with a large portfolio of sustainability projects (50 projects of relative complexity and impact on the production process) and an impressive expansion plan that doubled the capacity of one of the three plants. The program budget was approximately US$40M; projects generated annual benefits in sales of about US$25M.- Reached relevant financial benefits and manufacturing organization with all the projects carried out, mainly in the unit of industrial wires: installation of modern equipment, layout organization with improving the internal flow, and optimization and revamp of existing utilities, highlighting rearrangement of electrical installations and new cooling water and compressed air facilities;

- Acted as Project Management with projects in various areas of the steelmaking process, most of them in the plant located in Santa Cruz / RJ, and some in other units located in MG and SP;- Coordination of a Multidisciplinary Team and a portfolio of around 50 titles between capacity increasing and sustainability;- During this period drawing factory wires for galvanized products was modernized, with the installation of cutting edge equipment, layout organization with forecast for further growth, optimization and revamp of existing utilities.

From 1988 to 1990 I worked in the maintenance of rolling mills and between 1990 and 1991 in the central maintenance department. In both areas my job was the engineering maintenance to make improvements in equipment and planning reforms and stops.- Led planning reforms in rolling mills and equipment of the steelworks.- Participated in the early implementation of predictive maintenance in rolling mills motors and gear boxes, supporting the preparation of plans based on the criticality of equipment and components.- Coordinated the development of projects for equipment improvements, to increase their mean time between failures.
