I fell into Digital. I was a store manager, Lands’ End was hiring for their fledgling website and while I had never even been on the Internet, I thought: why not apply? And I fell in love. Loved merchandising virtual space instead of racks and shelves. Loved the new tools to connect with customers. Learned the importance of relevant content, clear navigation--and what a strong Digital business could do for a brand.I was told by a Sr. Exec at the time, “Women will never shop online. Don’t get too excited.” He left and I stayed. I grew up along with landsend.com and helped shape an e-commerce experience that guided plenty of women to spend plenty of money. And learned from tremendous leaders.With some of those smart people, I launched the first omni-channel, mass-market, fair trade lifestyle brand, Fair Indigo. Six of us built it from scratch and I wore as many hats as I could: merchandising, design, content, operations, branding, marketing, PR.At HSN.com we employed a Content/Commerce/Community strategy in hugely innovative ways, testing and learning along the way. It was incredibly forward-thinking, while staying focused on optimal customer experience and producing results. Now I'm at Boscov's, speaking directly to consumers about this amazing brand, growing a profitable business across multiple channels that's relevant to a whole new generation.I'm passionate about creating the best experience possible for customers: connecting them with the right products, using the right messaging, with every touchpoint making them say, I love this brand! I think big picture, setting big goals, and build relationships across the company to get buy-in for that strategy. I've architected several organization changes as Digital becomes Omnichannel, and I know how to structure a team and nurture talent to make that strategy happen. And lastly, I ensure everyone knows what success looks like, and then execute to deliver those results. I've learned so much from world-class brands, and try to keep learning every day. I love my job. I love how seeing how retail has changed, and can't wait to see what's next!
