As a senior student of Translation and Interpreting studies in Boğaziçi University, I reach to situate myself in-between cultures, be it in written or spoken language. I have been enhancing my understanding of diversity through an exchange program in Kansai Gaidai University for the past year. In doing so, I also endeavor to augment my language skills, due to which I now stand at a point where I am near-native level in both English and Japanese. I am highly interested in the fields of Conference Interpreting, Localization, Literary Translation, and Technical Translation, as well as Asian Studies. My journey as it stands includes roles as an interpreter between English, Turkish and Japanese; as an intern in HR services where I have refined my skills in cross-cultural communication and administrative support, as well as voluntary teaching roles for both Japanese and English.With solid foundation thanks to my coursework and my own studies, I am committed to leveraging my skills and experiences to contribute effectively in the fields I am passionate about.
