Managed 12 simultaneous projects across a multi-state system from clinic and hospital renovations to new construction. Responsible for overall design and construction management by defining scopes, budgets, and schedules in line with system priorities. Coordinated internal teams such as FF&E, IS, wayfinding, and graphics with external design teams, contractors, and user groups across various department service lines.Managed a $285 million project budget for a 400,000 sq ft Children’s Hospital. This includes $9.25 million in professional fees from the design team and internal department team for a 1.5 year design duration. Managed $11 million in smaller project budgets across four different design teams.

Project and Design Manager in the re-established Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) department at the New Orleans Airport (MSY). Priorities were to improve owner processes and maintain the design integrity of the airport, particularly the new 1 million sq ft North Terminal.

The clinic, which occupies two levels in a larger residential building, is part of a multi-building, community oriented development in the Rainier Valley. The project requires a sensitivity to cultural, racial, and economic differences, an ability to navigate complex concerns around equity, and skill at negotiating decisions with multiple stakeholders that often have conflicting preferences

Project manager for a team of ten working on projects ranging in scale from single exam room renovations and small upgrades to whole department remodels to a new Cancer Center (180,000 sf) and Ambulatory Surgical Facility (90,000 sf) as part of a new medical office building on campus.

The University Medical Center (UMC) serves as the academic and research hub of the expanding Biomedical District on Canal Street. The $1.1 billion dollar facility is 1.6 million sq ft with 426 private rooms, 56 emergency exam rooms, 19 operating rooms, multiple courtyards and water features accessible to patients and visitors, a conference center, a cancer center, a clinic building, and all the ancillary services that support a regional level one trauma and research center. All of this is housed in seven buildings – three inpatient towers, the diagnostic and treatment building, a clinic building, a parking garage, and a central utility plant.I started at the beginning of programming and was and worked throughout all phases of programming, design, document production, construction administration, and close-out.

URBANbuild was formed in the Spring of 2005 to develop responsive urban design strategies and new housing prototypes for storm damaged neighborhoods in New Orleans.
