Qa Automation Engineer
CurrentWorking in an agile product development team building a hotel booking platform by:• Working with the Pay team on payment projects from scratch to create better payment solutions for customers, ensuring seamless and secure transactions for the hotel booking platform.• Actively participating in squad meetings such as refinement/grooming, sprint planning, bug prioritization, and retrospectives to understand the product and processes.• Collaborating with the QA team using Git for version control and efficient teamwork.• Utilizing the WebDriver.io framework with TypeScript to create and maintain end-to-end tests for web applications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and improved application reliability.• Engaging with the team to establish test automation priorities, and creating as well as updating test scenarios within the automation framework to increase the confidence level of regression testing.• Conducting API testing using Swagger and Postman to validate existing and new endpoints, ensuring their correct functionality and performance.• Integrating tests into the CI/CD pipeline in TeamCity, enabling automated test runs for each deployment and ensuring releases going out are of high quality.• Actively participating in release processes by performing manual testing alongside automated regression tests, ensuring a smooth and reliable release cycle.• Using Datadog to monitor the system, gaining insights into the nature of failures, and assisting with troubleshooting and resolution.In this role, my responsibilities include improving the overall quality and reliability of the hotel booking platform by implementing and maintaining a robust test automation suite, conducting API testing, and actively participating in the agile development process. My contributions to the team have led to more efficient testing practices, greater test coverage, and a higher level of confidence in the product's stability and performance.
