Erdem is an experienced professional with more than 25 years of experience working with SMEs. He has developed solutions for over 200,000 companies and is the creator of an e-invoice service gateway and e-banking gateway that can clear more than 200 million transactions per day. Erdem has been an active participant in Turkey's ICT sector and software development industry since the beginning of his career. He established a software quality assurance department within his company and has shared his experiences in IT Congress-1990 as an article focused on software quality assurance processes and test methodologies.Erdem has a strong focus on international process models and framework standards for sustainable innovation and quality excellence. He collaborated with ESI to verify and update the SPICE model using LOGO for a pilot and living lab. Additionally, he played an active role in a FP5 research project which developed a framework for software-intensive organizations. Erdem also focused on leveraging ICT skills with Train-SEE(FP5), which aimed to develop a corporate e-learning environment.As an opinion leader in Europe for e-Business, business interoperability, and big data value creation, Erdem developed the first interoperability platform connecting financial institutions and enterprises for secure banking transactions. He also created the largest e-invoice service hub in Turkey, connecting social media and e-business platforms and developing a value chain among various e-commerce and legacy platforms. Erdem also led the Digital Single Market and Interoperability & Standards Pillars of the European Digital Agenda Localization and Policy Making.As an early key-worker of LOGO, Erdem provided project management and consulting to industry, NGOs, and SMEs to extract added value and create value chains using ERP. He actively contacted thousands of companies, introduced new economy elements, and innovative solutions/applications to create quantum leaps for their businesses. Erdem is also actively participating in clusters that develop policy recommendations in the EU.
