BizBuddies is a startup company that aims to create a social movement to inspire entrepreneurial thought among children through the introduction of children's literature into the market. BizBuddies is a company heavily involved in the community through community outreach events and community service to make a direct impact on the children of tomorrow.- Wrote and self-published "The Guide to a Great Big Business Adventure" (24 page illustrated children's book illustrating entrepreneurial aspects to children combined with a four-page workbook spread to implement lessons for the child to develop their own idea).- Managed business operations within all sectors of the company of 21 students.- Built network and relationships with local university and educational programs, organizations, and companies to increase sales through events.- Led the legal committee to handle legal processes and mitigate risks with contacts from the Babson Legal Counsel and negotiate for Licensing Agreement for continued use after FME Program of BizBuddies’ intellectual material.- Served within the Human Resources committee to provide feedback to all 21 team members during peer evaluations.- Successfully sold out of inventory (450 books) resulting in a revenue of $4,365 and profit of $2,029 to donate to the Boy’s and Girls Club of America and the Jimmy Fund Cancer Research Foundation.

Sprinfield, Missouri

This internship experience was a vital part of my senior thesis and capstone project at Greenwood Laboratory School. Within the project I met with Isabel's House Director of Development and other staff members twice a week and completed various projects while learning the operations of this great non-profit. I then combined this service learning portion at Isabel's House Crisis Nursery of the Ozarks with an extensive research project on child poverty that addressed how the delivery model of current non-profit organizations focused on child poverty can be reconfigured to better assist impoverished children through improving access to services, generating resources sufficient to the task, and creating long term systematic solutions.During my time at Isabel's House I:- Worked with the Director of Development to plan and manage events, help with grants, and other administrative tasks- Uploaded financial documents and implement a shared system on their network for documents, as directed by the Executive Assistant- Trained as a volunteer and completed hours caring for the children and helping Direct Care Staff run the nursery- Created a social media plan, converted multiple Facebook accounts into one, located and combined previous posts and merged accounts on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn
