As part of the core frontend team, I contribute to the development and maintenance of a cross-platform (macOS, Windows, Web) UCaaS app. My work focuses on enhancing and optimizing features across VoIP, chat, VDI, and contact center systems:- VoIP (SIP, WebRTC): Implemented early-media handling, developed the frontend part for the call forwarding feature, and made QoS improvements through various enhancements, including (but not limited to) re-invite handling, SDP payload analysis, implementation of a workaround for IPv6-related issues in Chromium, and session renegotiation in case of connection loss.- Chat (XMPP): Developed enhancements such as chat message reactions, business SMS for customer-company communication, read/unread markers, context menu implementation, and various refactorings of existing code.- VDI Integration: Improved media processing through the integration of Citrix WebRTC redirection SDK (versions 1.7.0.1/2.0.0.3) and was involved in the integration with VMware environments.- Data Performance: Improved performance and data caching through IndexedDB integration.- Contact Center: Improved voice, chat, and email queue interactions, enhanced the call-related UI (warm/cold transfers, conference calls), and led the migration from React (v17) to Angular (v15).- Current Project: Implementing integration of Intermedia Unite with Microsoft Teams.
