GM at Kingfisher Plc regional sourcing. Heading sourcing strategy and operations in Middle East, Turkey, Balkans and Eastern Europe for Kingfisher Group

• Developing and executing overall sourcing strategy within Kingfisher which is Europe’s leading home improvement company by providing executive leadership and managing a team of 45 worldwide and directly reporting to Group Sourcing Director,• Effectively managing a major turnover volume in regard to purchasing; actively leading initiatives and introducing the methodology in respect of democratic design to achieve the desired outcome within the production development process, • Demonstrating expertise within categories such as bathroom, kitchen etc. along with establishing respective standardization in person; also identifying sub-vendors and conducting cost analysis,• Operating as a Sourcing Board Member and attending regular meetings with other international board members to develop strategic policy and implement a global sourcing strategy.Key Achievements: Achieving a 16% cost price reduction in 2 years concerning COGS by implementing a high performing sourcing restructuring and tendering program worldwide.

• As the Executive Head of Turkey operations, effectively managing a wide range of activities involving sourcing (along with respective quality, logistics and production processes), overseeing operations management as well as overall HR and finance functions by managing a team of 27 and directly reporting to Group Sourcing Manager in the process, • Establishing overall sourcing strategies in collaboration with international sourcing board members, also crafting sourcing strategies for products groups produced in Turkey, Middle East, North Africa and the Balkans,• Driving efforts to segment product groups according to production process and materials, monitoring key metrics in regard to sourcing performance and reorganizing office structure to improve efficiency in daily operations,• Coming up with improvements to increase efficiency towards industrial purchasing, manufacturing efficiency etc., implementing strategies regarding vendor management as well as reverse engineering and design for cost applications,• Ensuring quality assurance along with overall effective supply chain and production planning processes by demonstrating knowledge and expertise regarding production efficiency and lean principles.Key Achievements: Achieving a 10% cost reduction within 2 years relating to comparable products and ranking the first place among Kingfisher Sourcing Offices around the world.

• Establishing Kingfisher Turkey office from scratch and operating a wide range of activities including real estate and facility management, team building, recruitment and more by directly reporting to Near Sourcing Director along the way,• Executing respective sourcing activities in regard to building materials, actively managing operations carried out within the regions including Turkey, Middle East, North Africa and, the Balkans,• Overseeing overall supply chain activities within the organization by effectively managing quality, supply chain and sourcing teams of 6 altogether; building and maintaining the relationships with the vendors internationally, • Identifying cost savings opportunities by analyzing respective category, financial and industry data and performing risk assessments and collaboration possibilities to meet or exceed cost-saving targets,• Restructuring vendor landscape by crafting 3 years of strategic planning within the organization, creating value-added business practices and processes to maximize efficiency towards supply chain sourcing lifecycle. Key Achievements: Providing 35 million $ worth sourcing business in 9 months within the Balkans, Turkey and the Middle East regions and increasing vendor base from 5 to 31. Also, securing 11% saving (biggest saving in the organization) via single tender in 2014.

• Developing and administering an overall efficient global supply chain and monitoring inventory for global products by managing a team of 4 (in charge of sourcing quality and supply chain) and directly reporting to Commercial Director in the process,• Executing direct sourcing activities via Kingfisher sourcing offices around the world and implementing efficient sourcing and category management strategies; supervising all negotiations and generating appropriate documentation along the way,• Monitoring all sourcing strategies and policies to ensure the achievement of respective business objectives and managing all communication with the global sourcing team,• Optimizing sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency, estimating risks and applying risk minimizing initiatives and performing cost analysis and benchmarking. Key Achievements: Effectively increasing the direct sourcing rate from 3% to 7% between 2011 and 2013.

• Executing respective procurement operations by formulating effective strategies in line the organizational objectives, actively managing a diverse team of 11 involving foreign team members and directly reporting to the Managing Director in the process,• Acquiring materials in regard to garden, home appliances , hardware and plumping categories; driving efforts to improve and optimize purchasing operations and strategic planning in general, and overseeing product, process and business development initiatives in the scope of purchasing,• Expanding company operations into the USA and Europe by performing strategic business development activities on the regions and overall managing sourcing and trading activities from Asia for all Koç Group companies as well as worldwide retailers such as Argos, Walmart, Migros, Koçtaş etc.,• Effectively managing the respective budget and P&L and maintaining the relations with vendors alongside with improving their processes to get through audits and inspections.Key Achievements: Successfully increasing shipment 12% on average between 2008 and 2011.
