In a quasi-experimental design, we implemented a comprehensive two-month critical thinking program with an experimental group of 30 participants and compared their outcomes to a control group of 30 participants who received no intervention. The critical thinking education program, based on the well-established Paul-Elder model, aimed to enhance participants' analytical skills, source evaluation abilities, and media literacy competencies. Our findings revealed that the program had a significant impact on the experimental group, reducing their scores on threat perception, misinformation belief, and conspiracy thinking compared to the control group. These reductions were statistically significant, indicating a substantial effect of critical thinking education on the outcome variables.
