As a marketing event manager at Willis Towers Watson I am responsible for full service meeting and event delivery, from developing event strategy through program completion. Responsibilities include budget projection and tracking, development and timely execution of project plans, attendee registration site creation and management, production and staging, venue logistics and on site implementation. My portfolio ranges from intimate internal trainings to large client events, and also includes trade shows both large and small. In my role as assistant director, I continued to perform my regional responsibilities and management of one full time administrative staff member. Additional responsibilities included developing invitation lists, working with the Senior Vice President of University Development to determine critical locations and involvement of the University President, and management of a six-figure budget. In lieu of the Freshmen Send-off program, I managed the New York City-based Recent Alumni Network of over 8,000 alumni participants. As staff advisor to this group, I developed strategy and made recommendations to increase participation and visibility, worked closely with steering committee volunteers to realize goals and host events, and managed the network’s budget.

As a development associate I played an integral role in executing the domestic regional event calendar. Primary responsibilities included venue selection and contract negotiation, speaker selection, travel to events as the on-site event manager. I also managed the Freshmen Send-off program, a joint initiative between the Office of Development and Alumni Relations and the Office of Student Affairs, to engage alumni and parent hosts across the country with incoming Freshmen and their families to foster a sense of community. In my role as administrative aide I worked as a member of the regional team to plan and implement alumni programs around the country. Primary responsibilities included managing event RSVPs and databases, processing payments and expense forms, maintaining internal and external event calendars, creating and mailing event follow-up correspondence, and drafting text for event websites and blast emails.
