Eric advises corporations, institutions and individuals on high-stakes challenges. His work encompasses crisis communications, litigation communications, issue management, media relations, message development, corporate reputation, public advocacy campaigns, and employee & labor communications. An experienced counselor, he creates and executes campaigns designed to advance his clients’ business and legal objectives, particularly at times of intense scrutiny by the media, competitors, public officials and other stakeholders. In 2023, Eric was named one of the Lawdragon Global 100 Leaders in Legal Strategy & Consulting, in recognition of his crisis communications and litigation support work. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1993.Before his career in strategic communications, Eric spent two decades as a reporter, including stints at the Chicago Sun-Times, the New York Daily News, and the American Lawyer. He spent much of his journalism career covering courts and legal affairs. Since joining Kivvit (formerly ASGK Public Strategies) in 2012, he has counseled clients in a wide range of sectors, including automotive, financial services, gaming, health care, higher education, media & entertainment, professional services, real estate, semiconductors, and travel & hospitality along with many others.
