Current- Modelled a dental implant system in SOLIDWORKS under the guidance of Dr. Lindsey Westover- Performed dynamic simulations using ABAQUS to predict implant stability on the dental implant system- Conducted finite element analysis to cross-validate results regarding a technique for the non-invasive assessment of implant stability, obtained from benchtop experiments- Designed benchtop experiments to measure craniofacial implant stability of 2 different types of implants- Operated a device called the Advanced System for Implant Stability Testing (ASIST), which quantifies the stability of implants as an ASIST Stability Coefficient (ASC) value- Analyzed data from experiments via Wolfram Mathematica and Excel to determine the effects of different abutment lengths and implant types on ASC values- Presented results at a public event with other undergraduate research students
