I am a skilled Manager trained in leadership techniques, motivational tactics, and team building. I would like to apply my knowledge and people skills into any industry. I am also very passionate about building positive cultures and managing people.My most recent position as Manager of Dining Services for the University of Alaska Southeast has been the most challenging and rewarding or my career. With deep budget cuts followed by Covid lockdowns and restrictions, operations have needed creative solutions. I have managed to not only maintain my entire team but I was able to reduce food waste, increase revenue, and add much needed variety to our menu. Using inventory control techniques and purchasing systems I learned from my time at Wurstkuche I reduced our costs. Finding new items that provided more flavor without extra labor I crafted a new menu that satisfied even students that ate in our cafeteria everyday. A restaurant manager must wear as many hats as possible to keep costs low. I have done almost everything required to keep a business running. I have acted as our in house HR, processing hiring paperwork, terminations, mediations, and everything in between. Fixing leaking pipes, damaged couplers, or blow fuses as a manager you learn how to solve problems.
