 Primary clinical leader for the planning and execution of $700M Epic project which included 3 hospitals, 80+ ambulatory sites and nearly all Epic modules Led the Enterprise Design Team--a group of 90 physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and executives--to drive effective design, implementation, and adoption of Epic  Clinical champion, collaborating with executives and clinical leaders across all facilities to best prepare for and drive transformational change Led projects that included implementing ePrescribing of controlled substances, opioid prescribing improvements, clinical decision support development, secure text messaging, physician documentation and workflow, interoperability, Dragon voice recognition, as well as the integration of third party clinical content and links to our communication systems  Established clinical informatics team of 27 informaticists; physicians, nurses and quality specialists  Oversaw Quality Informatics team, which generated quality performance scorecards for all departments and physicians Established a clinical help desk that provides support to clinicians In collaboration with the CEO, developed a telehealth strategy and team to support a common platform for telehealth activities and integration with Epic (Avizia, now part of American Well) Co-chaired Enterprise Clinical Oversight Committee with the CEO to drive improved quality performance and reduced cost, focusing on improving sepsis, mortality, and patient safety metrics. Facilitated an innovation grant program, which awarded grants to clinical teams to improve clinical performance and outcomes in their areas.  Assisted to facilitate UMass Memorial Health Care achievement of HIMSS Stage 7 for both hospital and outpatient settings, achieved by only 2% of organizations. UMass Memorial has seen substantial improvement in mortality, patient engagement, provider satisfaction with information systems and improvement in a number of other quality metrics.
